Greetings!

Wow, is it really almost the end of August 2022? Where has the year gone? And as for my blogging and E-News, where has that time gone? Please forgive me for being absent from blogging and from my E-News for a time. I’m EXCITED to be back!

I have not been absent from serving God, family, friends, business and ministry clients through LisaShawCares, LLC or from serving in the local church. But, like many of you Covid 2020 into now post Covid, has brought many changes on many levels including, what we do, how we do it and perhaps who we do it for. Many of us have seen changes with the time we have to devote to each priority and so on. People have had to make significant life changes in where they live or work or transitioning from a job to self-employment. There have been relational and economic changes and certainly concerns that impact family structure. I could go on but you get my point.

The last two years have seen many changes and hopefully, we’ve experienced growth in our relationship with God, in how we view our own self-care including our mindsets and the need for rest. I pray we’ve experienced growth in how we take care of our relationships, how we show up in the earth to serve others and how we handle money, our businesses, ministries, time, and boundaries we’ve established for ourselves, and more.

I am super excited about the possibilities that still exist for us to RISE from the situations we have experienced the last two plus years because we are resilient and purposed by God to do great things.

One of my amazing long term coaching clients who had to make a shift since 2020, asked me recently, “Lisa, do you think it’s even worth me still envisioning and working toward this or maybe I should go back to___?” (left blank for her confidentiality)?” I responded with a question but first I said, “Give yourself a moment to think before you answer this question, what is your gut (your heart, mind and spirit) saying to you?” She answered. I then asked, “Do you still believe this business venture is what God has purposed for you to do to help others?” She answered. We paused a few moments as I wanted her to have time to let her own answers sink in. I then asked, “What are you really afraid of?” She didn’t like that question and that’s OK. I’m doing my job well when a client feels stretched in a good way. She took the time to think it through and then answered. We discussed her answer. Then, I asked her, “What is the impact you could make in doing this?” She answered a little quicker that time. Based on something she said, I then asked, “What would your life be like if you stopped moving toward this goal?” She answered swiftly with direct, determined focus. I could see the doubt draining away as I asked and she answered the questions that helped her to reassess, refocus and recharge forward. I sat and listened to her pour out her goal and desire in the business venture she’s transitioning into. She’s an amazing person and powerful leader. I assisted her with coaching questions that were probing, exploratory and expansive. Halfway through I asked her, “How do you see your awesome core values (we’ve worked those out in previous coaching sessions), at work in all we’ve mapped out today?” She smiled, thought for a moment and answered with confidence.

I shared just a glimpse into that coaching session because I believe that many of us are like my client. We’ve made some changes and some easier than others, some we didn’t think we’d have to make the last two years. The pressures those decisions and changes in life can bring can often lead us into questioning ourselves, doubting what God called us to, wondering if we’re too young or now too old, or if there’s still time to do this or that, or who will really need what we offer or how we offer it on the job, through a business, in a place of worship, in the community or in relationships. I get it! In some ways I’m there too.

Don’t be afraid to keep GROWING. I believe we go as we grow. In the ways and areas in which I serve people, (and when I say serve I include in business) I know firsthand that we can get stuck easily, lose focus due to the distractions around us, get discouraged or frustrated, become overwhelmed with our schedules because we’ve said Yes far more than we’ve said No, or we just do not know what to do next–a goal or vision without a plan. That surely will bring on fears, anxiety, stresses and worries or feeling stuck, procrastinate and more.

So, why have I shared all of this with you? Because I’m excited to get back into blogging and sharing through my E-News here on LisaShawCares.com and if you are not currently one of my amazing clients I hope to one day soon serve you or you and your group (team, etc). Sign up on the home page for the E-News and here for my blogs. I promise they won’t be often and I won’t fill up your Inbox with more to read, but when I send them we will grapple real life situations as women (and men) in family life, business, ministry, leadership, business and coaching tips, team building, personal development which is VITAL to do ANYTHING, transitioning from one thing to another, navigating fear and other anxieties, learning how to be resilient and persistent, increase your confidence and more!

I pray you will join me on the journey and I’m here to serve you. I am excited to share lots that I’ve been doing with my clients and virtual groups and adding more offers to help YOU. I need the ability to have a wider reach with the time afforded to me each day. Yes, there’s those boundaries ladies and gentlemen. I believe in it. I’m not always good at it but I know how to pray and ask God to give me strength and wisdom because His love and leadership in my life is essential, and I know how to coach myself so that I can get back on track and help my clients to do the same. I’m here to help you too. Let’s connect!
