Do you do speaking engagements?

Yes, Lisa speaks at all size events including and not limited to, church services, ministry and business events, women’s events, and team development meetings. She speaks as a keynote, workshop, breakout session, panel discussions and more in person and virtually. She has key topics and also accommodates customized messages to your event audience.

Do you charge to speak?

Yes, there is an investment involved with Lisa speaking at certain events. That may include speaker fee, travel and hotel. Please visit the speaker page and complete the form or use the contact page so that Lisa can speak with you directly. Certain charitable events are at no expense.

What type of coaching do you do?

Lisa Shaw is a Certified Personal and Executive Coach. Her emphasis is on personal growth and leadership development. A few of the specific focus areas and problem-solving are mindset/perspective, clarity confidence and courage, navigating obstacles with success, being strategic in setting and achieving reasonable goals to live the life her clients desire to live. Lisa also coaches current and emerging leaders in effectively leading themselves so that they can lead others. She also coaches and consults for team and group developing.

Are you certified?

Yes. I had been coaching for many years before I became certified. I am certified through a 6-month coaching school–instructional, hands-on-real-time coaching, understanding of CORE Competencies and much more at The CaPPS Institute. We are fully trained and certified as Personal and Executive Coaches. The CaPPs Institute focuses on combining training of Coach training with Positive Psychology and Business Development. CaPPs is affiliated with ICF (International Coach Federation).

Do you work with women and men?

Lisa Shaw’s primary 1:1 is with women and certain events are women only. However, team, group and department coaching, and any speaking services are to both men and women.

Do you coach and consult people out of state?

Yes. Lisa Shaw uses Zoom as her virtual service. If you have a laptop, computer (with audio) or a phone, then you can coach with Lisa from anywhere in the world. Lisa does request that she is able to see her clients on Zoom video. Times are established based on EST time so you would need to check your time zone when making appointments.

Do you coach in person?

To keep the investment at an affordable rate for her clients, Lisa’s coaching is primarily done via Zoom. However, team, group or department development can be done in person (travel expenses may be involved) as well as Zoom.

Yes, there are fees involved for all services.

What technology do you use to coach?

Zoom (a video conferencing service) which is used on a laptop, computer or phone. Wherever you have audio/video ability.  Zoom is free to my clients.

Is coaching the same as counseling?

No. Counseling is more listening and giving advice and working on past pains and situations that are impacting you currently. Coaching is attentively listening and asking the right questions to help clients to reach their goals. Those questions are a combination of probing, expansive and exploratory questions.  Coaching focuses on what you want now and how to reach it (present and future). Both counseling and coaching are important, but they are not the same.

Are you a legal business?

Yes. LisaShawCares is a LLC. A Limited Liability Company in the state of Florida.

What types of payment do you take?

Debit or Credit via PayPal. You don’t have to have a PayPal account to make payment. When coaching or leadership training with non-profits or small businesses Lisa accepts PayPal or a business check. She also accepts Zelle and Square payments.

Are funds due before coaching?

Yes, unless there has been an agreed in writing installment plan along with the Coaching Agreement.

Do you have a refund policy?

No refunds except up to 7 days after the first session only and monies will be refunded less a $75 admin fee. After which, no coaching/consulting refunds. No refunds on any speaking engagements, books or product purchases.  

Do you change your rates?

Yes, rates are subject to change.

If I wanted to coach with one or two other people would you do that?

That’s considered group coaching and comes under a different pricing.

Can I use your photos on your website?
No, the photos are either paid for by LisaShawCares or are obtained from others who have allowed me to use them by permission. Other photos are Lisa Shaw’s personal photos. No photos can be used from the website.
Do you sell your books in bulk?

Yes, if you are ordering 10 or more please contact me first.

Are you willing to travel for speaking engagements and coaching/consultant training?

Yes. All travel expenses and accommodations are the responsibility of the host church, organization or business. Lisa Shaw will take care of her own meals.
