Hi clients, friends, and visitors of LisaShawCares.com

First and foremost, we are praying for ALL of you, your loved ones and the world around us. We know that this is a serious illness and some are dealing with fear at this time. My prayer is that we choose our faith over fear even in the midst of these difficult times of illness, loss and financial changes. Our Sovereign God is here in the midst and as I draw close to Him there is where I find peace, strength, and calm in any storm including the coronavirus. I invite you to do the same.

Secondly, if you are a current client, our coaching and/or consultant sessions will continue on Zoom. The only change currently will be if we do 1:1 in person, we will change it to Zoom (Video Conferencing or by phone) effective this coming Monday. I will send out a Zoom link to you if it applies. If my services (speaking, teaching, coaching, consulting), are in-person to Groups or Events (ministry, church, business) that will continue and I will work with you to decide case-by-case if something would need to be postponed or switched to Zoom (Video Conferencing) so that I may still serve you and your group or event.

It is my intention to continue to serve you whether 1:1 or as groups, with excellence, always. I believe this virus, like others, will pass. As we PRAY and wait for it to end, let’s continue to work, serve, live and give as we always do–in other words, to move forward.

Here are a few tips I offer to you during this time:

  1. Pray and ask God to fill you with peace and to lead you with wisdom.
  2. Pray for those who are sick, hurting or afraid now.
  3. Take time to get some sunshine and fresh air.
  4. Hydrate to keep your body healthy.
  5. Don’t just watch media outlets. Stay updated but don’t let it consume your waking moments.
  6. Set a time for social media and then back away from it and read, call a friend or family member and talk about something upcoming, or something you would like to do in the near future.
  7. Eat as clean as you can during this time. Emotions (like fear) can open you to stress (emotional) eating. Enjoy your treats but be sure not to consume out of fear and unrest.
  8. Rest. Rest. Rest. when you can and as much as you can. If you’re like me, I’m not a good sleeper normally so even if I’m not sleeping, I lay down to rest my body and I pray, meditate, think about something good.
  9. This is a great time to clean. Yes, I said clean. Clean out drawers, closets, cabinets, the garage, your car, etc.
  10. Turn up the music and dance in your kitchen! 🙂 Great for cardio, lifting your spirits and sweating off some calories.
  11. Reach out to people you’ve lost contact with and see how they are doing.
  12. WASH. WASH. WASH. your hands, body and even your glasses because the lens/frames catch germs. Clean off the front and back of your cell phones regularly with a wipe.
  13. AVOID hugging, kissing on the face, shaking hands, fist pumps, etc. with people. A SMILE and a greeting go a long way!
  14. AVOID coughing or sneezing into your hands. Contrary to what others say, this is NOT a good practice because you are spraying germs back on your hands and then touching other things that people will then touch. Carry tissues or napkins in your pockets. Sneeze, cough into your arm and clean your arm, wash the shirt asap.
  15. TALK to your CHILDREN — explain good hygiene. Kids sneeze, cough and touch their faces and each other often. Teach them what to do and what not to do and why as is age-appropriate. Give them responsibility in helping so that they feel they are a part of the solution and to avoid them becoming more afraid. Pray with them, even let them lead some prayer areas for others. Kids LOVE to feel they are helping. Let them, even in this situation.
  16. If you are afraid, don’t be embarrassed by that. Reach out. Don’t isolate. If there’s no one for you to reach to, please email me and I will pray for you and communicate with you via email. The friends and clients of LisaShawCares.com are important to me. I’m here for you.

Be encouraged in scripture that has walked many years and many miles with me. I hope it will encourage you.

Isaiah 41:10 Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’

God will bring us through this as He’s done before! Stay well friends!
Blessings,
