Hey Friend,
If you’re looking ahead to 2026 and wondering if your business will make it, you’re not alone. Many entrepreneurs and leaders are sitting in that same tension right now. Costs are shifting, clients are unpredictable, and the weight of decision-making feels heavier than ever. But before you decide to close the doors, pause. What if this isn’t a “quit” season—it’s a pivot season?
I’ve been there. In some ways I’m there right now. When things feel uncertain, our emotions can convince us that stopping is the safest option. But sometimes God allows the shaking to reveal what needs to shift—not what needs to end. So before you make a final decision, here are three things to prayerfully and strategically consider.
1. Is it a Lack of Purpose or a Lack of Plan?
Sometimes frustration doesn’t mean failure—it means fog. When clarity fades, it’s easy to assume the calling has expired. But ask yourself, Do I still feel led to this work, or am I simply weary from how I’ve been doing it? And don’t be afraid to answer this honestly.
Many entrepreneurs close doors God never told them to close—He just asked them to reorganize the space. Take a step back and review your business model, pricing, systems, and audience. It might not be time to walk away; it might be time to rebuild with clearer structure and focus.
2. Have You Outgrown the Way You Operate?
Every new level requires new leadership from you. The way you began may not sustain where you’re going. Same is true for me my Friend. Maybe you’ve been a one-woman operation, but now you need systems, collaboration, or automation. Or maybe you’ve been doing everything manually when it’s time to elevate your tools and thinking.
Or, perhaps it’s time to evaluate everything you are spending money on–every system, etc. if it’s not benefiting you maybe it’s time to let it go. I do a business review every year in Sept or October. This year, I am doing it this month because time didn’t allow and I can tell you that I have already let go of THREE things that I’ve been paying for that either no longer serve my business well or I can do in a different way to get the same or better results without the high cost.
Before closing, evaluate what’s actually not working—the business itself or the way you’ve been leading it. Don’t confuse tired with done.
3. Are You Making Decisions from Faith or Fatigue?
This one is critical and the most important in my opinion. Everything for me flows from my faith. Fatigue whispers “quit.” Did I say, whispers? No, fatigue screams quit! Faith says “pause, pivot, and plan.” Before you make any major decision, rest your mind. Reconnect with God, revisit your mission, and separate emotion from execution. Clarity rarely comes when we’re running on empty. You might discover that what felt like an ending was actually a redirection—toward a stronger, more aligned version of your business.
Friend, don’t let uncertainty make your decisions for you. You’ve already come too far to let fear or fatigue dictate your next move. As you prepare for 2026, take the time to re-evaluate, re-align, and rebuild where necessary. Pivot with prayer and strategy—not panic. Remember, God didn’t bring you this far to abandon what He started in you. You’re not failing, you’re evolving.
