I met up with a friend recently and she was exasperated. She’s an amazing woman with a beautiful family and a ministry she enjoys but she was feeling down. We’ve all been there right? I listened attentively as she poured out her heart. When she took a breath I said, “May I pray for you?” She exhaled as if she had a full body of breath just needing to be expelled. I held her hand and asked God for wisdom, peace and strength for my friend.

It’s awesome that we can pour out what we’re thinking to one another. We just need to vent at times and that’s OK but she said to me, “Lisa, thank you for reminding me of the power of prayer.” I hugged her and told her, “It’s not just the power of prayer but the power of praying together and asking God for wisdom in handling the situations she’s facing.” God wants us to ask Him for wisdom (James 1:5) and when we do, He generously pours it out.

Whatever you may be facing, pray and ask God for wisdom and if you know people who are dealing with situations, pray for them and as much as you can, pray together either by phone, in person or even zoom, face-time or Skype. Let’s use the tools we have to bless one another.

If I may pray for you in a personal, professional or ministry matter, please leave a comment or CONTACT me. I’d be honored to pray for you.

Standing with you,
